More than just a theoretical class, we invite you to an interactive sensory immersion in the heart of the Teusaquillo neighborhood, designed to help you discover the true magic behind a cup of specialty coffee.
The Experience
Forget about stiff, formal tastings. We are here to play and awaken your senses. We will start with a taste activation, trying small portions of key foods that will prepare your palate to identify the hidden notes and flavors within the bean.
Then, we will put your intuition to the test with the “Impostor Challenge.” You will have three cups in front of you: two contain single-origin specialty coffees, but one is an “intruder” (a standard supermarket coffee or one with defects). Blindly, and guided by a professional barista, you will learn to differentiate the aromas, acidity, and body of each one until you discover which is which.
It is a fun and educational experience that will connect you with the hard work of coffee-growing families and teach you to value the chain that brings the best cup from the farm to your table.
